This was a cool audio book to listen to while driving around town and doing some work. I didn't catch all of it while I was busy with other things but in the end the story just inspired me to continue learning more about pure mathematics and to press on with trying to solve Beal's Conjecture in a theorem proving type of way. I checked out and downloaded a book on modular forms after listening to this book. I think learning about how Fermat's Last Theorem was proved would be helpful in solving Beal's Conjecture since they seem so similar at the surface. The number theory problems and descriptions given in the book were the most interesting part to me. I wish I was able to see what he was talking about because it's hard to follow math descriptions when you are busy driving or working and can only listen to the narrator ramble on at breakneck speeds.
The Last Theorem was a cool book and I recommend it to anybody who might be interested in math and aliens.
