Murder in the Cathedral by Lavie Tidhar

Don't really know what this steampunk alternative past short is really all about. It paints some cute scenes of a science fiction convention and a guy named Orphan who is part of some mysterious organization. Stuff and things happen but I can't get myself motivated to finish reading.
